Earth Quake in Islamabad

I had just gone to sleep with an aching stomach and was not yet fully slept when a power jolt shaked all the underconstruction building on 1st floor of which we have got a room. All the previous day I was out in Islamabad and Pindi and had came after evening was well in. Here the night was not good as i was feeling immense pain in my stomach which is still quite there now. After the quake subsided i was unble to go to sleep and remained vigilant for any aftershocks through out the night. The quake was unusully powerful and I felt really worried. I felt it was more powerful than the 2005 one when I was in Peshawar. However no loss of life or any other damage is reported.

Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus

The much awaited Metro Bus Service is now functional in Islamabad connecting it to the twin city of Rawalpindi. The PKR 45 billion cost (USD 4440 million) of the project was criticized mainly by the opposition parties led by Tehreek Insaaf. However the record time for completion of the project is something which justifies the the financial outlay. In Pakistan Public Sector infrastructure projects are plagued by delays and some are altogether abandoned after partial work. The 23 KM long metro has 24 station. Today I had a glimpse of Pakistan Secretariat Station of it. There is quite excitement among the travelers and many are travelling just to have fun. Few pics here. Not many universities offer PHD program in Economics in Pakistan. And of those offered only a few can be said to produce quality PHDs. So the other choice remains is to go for study in Abroad. Telenor easypaisa Gimmicks

Of late this mobile banking service has become a source of nuisance. Instead of providing quality service to its customers, It is trying to dupe them in one way or the other to mint money from them on as bizarre scheme as MOBILE INSURANCE through which they purport to pay 1000 PKR as medical bill in case of medical emergency. The customers are nowadays continuously getting spam calls from Easy Paisa for so called Medical Insurance. I have time and again their representatives categorically that I am not doing it as I have already had it for one year. I was duped by one of their of your representative to go for it saying that it is totally free but later on i found they have deducted around 1000 PKR from my account. I am seriously thinking of changing Easypaisa as my mobile account and as well as Telenor as my network. God forbid, if anything happens, they are not going to pay a single penny on one pretext or the other, while they call this a medical insurance, there is no proof of it...
