Getting admission in Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad

Today is the most memorable day of my life, as I finally passed my PGD from AIOU Isalmabad. This of out of sheer diligence, perseverance, frustation and not loosing heart to sit in countless exam and yes of course also with a stamina comparing bull who is yoked all the month long during ploughing season back in my village. The story starts half a decade ago, I applied for admission in this "prestigious" seat of learning in the early 2009.  On a fateful day in the summer of July 2009, what I started was a diploma in Youth Development Work from the Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad. The university infamous for churning out degrees however came to be a nightmare for me. What supposed to be a one and half year Post Graduate Diploma took a whole fours years and two months to complete.
