Price Beating Policy of Homeshopping.pk

One the top online retailer of Pakistan - homeshopping.pk proudly claims to beat any price in the local market, however when applied for one product, I was declined on clumsy ground. Actually online retailers are charging much more than local retailers although they have advantage in the shape of no physical shop and mostly operate from a small cabin office.

Here is what i got from homeshopping.pk as response to my price update request.

"This is to inform you that your Price update request has been disapproved due to the following reasons or anyone of them.

1) The product offered is from some international Vendor. Price update request is only valid for local retailers.

2) The product offered by the local vendor is blacklisted on our database and that could only be due to quality retailed issues. There are times when some other vendors might be giving something for 500 less then our price but then they have no return policy or might just sell some refurbished stock which is easy to find in the local market hence it is important to understand that you need to quote some reliable vendors who have a good name in the market.

3) The products being sold is refurbished and we are selling new.

4) The Matching vendor actually does not have the product in stock but just displaying the price because we have it listed. There are some retailers who just not care for customer experience and just tend to follow our price with a simple strategy of copy price from HSN lower to 500 and list it regardless of the fact that they might not even have it in stock even at the higher prices.

However if you are not satisfied with any of these reasons and you still want HSN to follow the price beating request then the solution is simple. Place the order with the URL of your matching vendor in the other comments section while placing your order and we shall then get it from your vendor and give it to you with their invoice at a zero profit margin just because we would be able to follow our policy in your eyes but remember that the stock would be from your vendor only and all issues that might come about have to be dealt with your vendor only and HSN should not be held responsable for any issues that might arise.

PS: This is a no reply email . Please do not reply to this email as you shall not get a response".

Interestingly none of these above metioned reason(s) apply to the product i wanted to purchase. I am getting it from another local store and it is not any refurbished item at all. I know because it is newly lanuched product of Apple and there exist no refurbished item of the product till today.

Better not to believe in these kinds of tall claim. I am ordering my product from the other vendor.

Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus

The much awaited Metro Bus Service is now functional in Islamabad connecting it to the twin city of Rawalpindi. The PKR 45 billion cost (USD 4440 million) of the project was criticized mainly by the opposition parties led by Tehreek Insaaf. However the record time for completion of the project is something which justifies the the financial outlay. In Pakistan Public Sector infrastructure projects are plagued by delays and some are altogether abandoned after partial work. The 23 KM long metro has 24 station. Today I had a glimpse of Pakistan Secretariat Station of it. There is quite excitement among the travelers and many are travelling just to have fun. Few pics here. Although secretariat is closed today being Saturday, still large number of public was seen buying tickets and Metro-Bus Card.  To avoid queuing up the line to buy ticket, a better option is to get a Metro-Bus Card. The card can be reloaded and costs 130 Rs for the first time and subsequently recharg

Telenor easypaisa Gimmicks

Of late this mobile banking service has become a source of nuisance. Instead of providing quality service to its customers, It is trying to dupe them in one way or the other to mint money from them on as bizarre scheme as MOBILE INSURANCE through which they purport to pay 1000 PKR as medical bill in case of medical emergency. The customers are nowadays continuously getting spam calls from Easy Paisa for so called Medical Insurance. I have time and again their representatives categorically that I am not doing it as I have already had it for one year. I was duped by one of their of your representative to go for it saying that it is totally free but later on i found they have deducted around 1000 PKR from my account. I am seriously thinking of changing Easypaisa as my mobile account and as well as Telenor as my network. God forbid, if anything happens, they are not going to pay a single penny on one pretext or the other, while they call this a medical insurance, there is no proof of it
